Maklaud Dilong
DILONG — The Earth Dragon
Dilong is the ruler of the underworld and subterranean rivers. He governs tectonic forces, the formation of mountains, and the shaping of riverbeds. Though not an enemy to man, he remains alien to him.
His element is the raw, unrefined power of the earth — making this sculpture the most brutal and «geological» in the series.
The image of Dilong is closer to earth spirits of shamanic traditions, making it ideal for those who seek a sculpture with a nearly tangible force of nature.
— Unlike his celestial counterparts, Dilong appears less refined and far more grounded, at times resembling an ancient reptile.
— His scales are rough like stone, his body seeming to be formed from clay and roots, while his short horns appear carved from rock itself.
Dilong is a reminder that beneath city streets and fertile lands, primordial chaos still breathes...
accept it as it is...
Unique materials and artistic approach
Maklaud products are handmade from the sketch and prototype of the model to polishing and packaging, which explains their exclusivity and quality corresponding to works of art of small forms. The work uses classic, as well as alternative materials and technologies, which we constantly research and successfully master in our work.
