The concept of our RUNNER line was born from the idea of a person capable of moving between two worlds — the real and the virtual. A guide who takes from one space what can be useful in the other, moving back and forth like a shuttle, stitching two layers of reality into a single continuous pattern.
The new RUNNER has become a reflection of this transition.
Maklaud’s signature cast element is a fragment of a hypothetical interface — as if extracted from a virtual environment and materialized in metal. Its relief simultaneously evokes handcrafted work and traces of algorithmic assembly. Geometry and organic forms coexist here, strict logic and chaotic growth, like an object that came from a world for which we do not yet have precise terms.
Cast artistic elements have always been part of complex, expensive, collectible Maklaud models. Now this element appears in RUNNER — a line where we deliberately maintain broad accessibility, while introducing the very cast detail that turns our pieces into objects of desire.

Maklaud products are handmade from the sketch and prototype of the model to polishing and packaging, which explains their exclusivity and quality corresponding to works of art of small forms. The work uses classic, as well as alternative materials and technologies, which we constantly research and successfully master in our work.
