From the Book of Beginnings. Fragment IV.
«And there was a time when the Earth ceased to be a refuge, and man lifted his gaze to the heavens in search of a new home.
And man said: ‘I shall not remain on this earth alone, for it is too narrow for my designs. I shall create a new Ark — not for beasts and birds, but for ideas. Not for flesh, but for hope. Not for one world, but for many. And let it be that on every new land we shall be given the chance to begin anew.’
And he raised the Ark — not of wood, but of metal.
And he called it by the name Project 25.
For the stars had been granted to man at the dawn of creation,and the path to them was barred only by time and by fear.
And this Ark shall open the gates to other worlds, and preserve the spark of mankind until the end of days.»

«We thought the world would perish with us.
The land cracked, the waters fled, the sky turned to ash.
But one day the Ark arrived — not a ship upon the waves, but a ship upon the stars.
We entered it, and it bore us away from the withering Earth.
We saw, for the last time, the clouds reflected in the black glass of the porthole.
Since then we believe: if there is an Ark, then there must be a new shore.
And may we find it among the stars.»
