Her wings did not move, and the air around her was heavier than steel.

Every pattern on her body was like a spell.
The silver in her armor shimmered with foreboding.
She was silent. And in that silence, I could hear the ringing of weapons.

I do not know if she chose who would fight and who would fall—
or if she was simply waiting for the outcome...
