Maklaud Princess of Shunuth
As a continuation of the Zmey Ognei collection, we present a sculpture inspired by one of the most iconic figures of Ural folklore—well known both in Russia and beyond—Princess of Shunuth, also known as The Mistress of the Copper Mountain.
Immortalized by writer Pavel Bazhov, this powerful, mysterious, and beautiful character has become a true symbol of the Urals. She is the keeper of underground treasures and the ancient secrets of the earth.
In our artistic interpretation, the Mistress emerges from dark bronze and gleaming metal, as if rising from the very depths of the mountains. Her face is a golden mask of calm and strength, framed by the rugged texture of ore and natural amethyst crystals growing out of her form. This is more than a female figure—she is the mountain itself, the elemental force, living by her own ancient laws.
This sculpture embodies the spirit of Ural legends, respect for traditional craftsmanship, and the natural wealth of the land. We believe that legends live on as long as they are told—and as long as they can be seen, touched, and felt.
The Mistress of the Copper Mountain is another link in our ongoing story—where folklore, Ural materials, and contemporary art come together.
Unique materials and artistic approach
Maklaud products are handmade from the sketch and prototype of the model to polishing and packaging, which explains their exclusivity and quality corresponding to works of art of small forms. The work uses classic, as well as alternative materials and technologies, which we constantly research and successfully master in our work.
