Maklaud Pegasus
Pegasus appeared at the moment when the hero Perseus severed the head of the Gorgon Medusa. From the blood spilled upon the earth, the winged horse Pegasus arose. He was born of horror and death, yet he himself became an embodiment of purity and lofty heights.
His name is linked to the word «spring» or «source.» And this is no coincidence. Wherever Pegasus struck his hoof upon the ground, springs of water would emerge, granting inspiration to poets.
Pegasus served Zeus. He carried the lightning bolts of the supreme god and dwelled among the celestial halls. Later, he was placed in the heavens as a constellation — a sign that not all power is meant for earthly dominion.
His sculptural form is built around motion, and the body’s shape is governed by the logic of balance. Every line participates in maintaining the equilibrium between earth and air. The wings function as architectural elements, designed for lift, resistance, and sustaining the form in space. The sense of movement is inherent to the very concept of its construction.
Pegasus is a symbol of a free spirit, inspiration, and human aspiration. He unites an origin born of chaos with a striving toward light, reminding us that true flight is possible.
Unique materials and artistic approach
Maklaud products are handmade from the sketch and prototype of the model to polishing and packaging, which explains their exclusivity and quality corresponding to works of art of small forms. The work uses classic, as well as alternative materials and technologies, which we constantly research and successfully master in our work.
