SHENLONG — Master of Rain and Wind
Shenlong is one of the most revered dragons, governing the weather. Harvests depended on his mood, and for centuries farmers worshipped him and performed rituals to call for rain. He could be benevolent, bringing life-giving moisture, or wrathful, unleashing droughts and storms.
This sculpture reflects his divine, capricious, and untouchable nature, found in countless folk beliefs.
— Shenlong is often depicted without wings, yet soaring through the heavens, his long body hidden within swirling clouds and mist.
— His scales shimmer like pearls, and his face is highly expressive, with flowing whiskers and pronounced brows.
— The sculpture is complemented by «currents of air,» with torn clouds beneath his claws, creating the sense of a recent, rapid flight.
There is no weight of war or force of earth here — only the grace of wind, the temper of the elements, and an almost tangible elusiveness.
Shenlong belongs to the heavens, yet for a moment, he lingers within your space...
