Maklaud Yinglong
YINGLONG — The Winged Dragon
According to ancient myths, Yinglong aided the Yellow Emperor (Huangdi) in defeating the rebellious Chi You by summoning floods and storms.
Later, he also assisted Yu the Great, founder of the Xia dynasty, in taming the great flood — carving channels with his own tail and claws.
This Maklaud sculpture conveys the ancient, almost forgotten power and experience of a being that lived through two key myths of early Chinese history.
— Yinglong stands apart from the other dragons in the series, first and foremost through his expressive wings.
— His body is tempered by countless battles, and his scales have grown rough and powerful, like battle-worn armor.
—His horns are slightly worn down, his claws razor-sharp, and his brow carries a quiet sadness — revealing age and accumulated fatigue.
— The dragon’s strong physique emphasizes the colossal power of this legendary warrior.
Those who choose this dragon choose an ancient valor before which time itself holds no power...
