Maklaud Forgotten sorrows
Forgotten Sorrows is built around a dialogue between two ancient beings: a fossilized trilobite and a ammonite. Their presence brings together different eras of life on Earth, preserved in stone.
The trilobite, one of the earliest inhabitants of the planet, and the ammonite, whose spiral has become a symbol of eternity, form a composition that conveys both the depth of time and the fragility of vanished worlds. Every line, every texture is an authentic history millions of years old.
We create our sculptures as unique artistic objects, where value is defined not only by form, but also by the origin of the materials. Rare fossils become an integral part of the concept, turning each piece into a singular artifact that cannot be replicated.
Here, the past is not recreated — it continues to exist. Fossils shape not only the image, but the very essence of the sculpture. This is what makes Forgotten Sorrows an artifact that exists beyond time and beyond repetition.
Unique materials and artistic approach
Maklaud products are handmade from the sketch and prototype of the model to polishing and packaging, which explains their exclusivity and quality corresponding to works of art of small forms. The work uses classic, as well as alternative materials and technologies, which we constantly research and successfully master in our work.
