Maklaud Neidja Way
Neidja Way is a new limited-edition sculpture by Maklaud, dedicated to the legendary figure of Nezha — one of the most vivid and paradoxical heroes of Chinese mythology.
Only 30 pieces of this design have been released.
Nezha is a rare figure in Eastern myth: a child-god, bearer of destructive power — and at the same time, a symbol of transformation and spiritual independence, a protector of humanity and a dragon-slayer with unimaginable abilities. His image merges Taoist philosophy, Buddhist motifs, and traces of ancient Indian mythology. According to scholars, the archetype of Nezha draws inspiration from the child form of Krishna and the divine warrior Nalakubara.
His full mythological arc is revealed in the 16th-century Chinese classic «Investiture of the Gods», where he appears as one of its central heroes. His legend weaves together cosmology, philosophy, and the eternal archetype of inner conflict between personal will and ancestral duty.
His traditional attributes include: a flaming spear, a magic scarf, and wind fire wheels that grant him the speed of the storm. In some interpretations, he has three heads and six arms, capable of battling demon armies alone.
The myth of Nezha touches on powerful themes: he fights sea demons, clashes with his own father, returns his physical body to his parents in an act of self-sacrifice — and is then reborn in a new body made from lotus petals.
The story of Nezha is a journey through rebellion, renunciation, and rebirth — a symbol of struggle with chaos and internal duality.
The Neidja Way sculpture captures this complexity: boldness and wisdom, fire and ritual. It is a symbol of the fight for inner freedom, cast in bronze, where ancient tradition meets a contemporary vision of myth.
